Ooh! I must have done my math wrong. I was thinking the progressos were .75 each before coupons- so .50 cents each after a .50/2 coupon. I hope I'm wrong!
Can you tell me what Catalinas are? I'm interested this week!
Jilene...They are the coupons that print at the register after you complete your transaction. Sometimes they are money off of your next purchase other times they are coupons for a specific product. Hope that helps.
Joanie, the progresso soups are 50 cents a piece BEFORE any coupons (in increments of 10 of course). They're 2 for $3...or 10 for $15...minus the $10 catalina makes it 10 for $5...50 cents a piece.
Emily WHat are you going to do with 30 tubes of biscuits? They say do not freeze on them. Do you freeze them anyway? That is so awesome. If you are freezing them I might try it too!
Well, I poured and poured over the ad well into the night, organized my stuff METICUOLOUSY, and sent my husband off to the store (I know--awesome, right?) this morning to do the dirty work--5 transactions in all. He had to do some last minute scrambling because some of the things on my lists were already out of stock, but all in all, he did pretty well. Your right, the folks over at the Albertson's on Meridian/Fairview are GREAT! They totally held his hand and encouraged him. I want to give his checker a big smooch! So, at the end of the day, he spent $40 and saved $150. Not too bad considering I am still a coupon virgin and had very few coupons to contribute, in comparison with some of the others. Plus the added bonus is that my husband really saw how much work I put into it, and how much we save, and I gained some big brownie points from him! Yeah me! Yeah us! Yeah Krazy Coupon Ladies for all the inspiration!
I am also curious if you have had success freezing yours?? I'll go buy more if you say so...
I do plan to freeze them. I will take them out of the tube (because who wants them exploding in the freezer???!), lay them on a cookie sheet, freeze them & then put them in freezer bags (that way I can take 1 out if i want or 5 and they wont be frozen together! I'll let you know how it goes!
Thanks Emily I am going to do it!
I just got interested in couponing after seeing the Oprah show about it. I found this site and..."holy cow" I didnt know there were such good deals available. Only problem is, its very overwhelming and intimidating to me. Anyone willing to walk me through it for my first time? Feel free to call 353-4351Please help...thanks, Sara.
Can you explain how the biscuits were free? If you used $10.75 in coupons, how did you get 30 cans for free? Wouldn't you have only been able to get three or four for free with the coupons?
How long does this catalina $10thing last? I haven't been to the store yet. Never done this coupon thing either but I want to give it my best shot on Monday. Think Monday's too late for all these awesome deals? Will all the coupons used for this stuff still be good? Thanks, dazed and confused!
The biscuits are on sale for $1.25 so if you buy 10 you are at 12.50. Then there are .50/2 coupons, or $2.50 off. Then you use the $10 Catalina (the coupon that prints after you buy 10 participating products) and you have to end up paying like .90 for tax.
Does that make sense?
Sara- This sale will last until Tuesday night. Feel free to email me if you have any questions... b_hwheeler@yahoo.com
